Re: The Anthropic principle
Logic: 1. The study of the principles of reasoning
2. Valid reasoning as distinguished from invalid or irrational reasoning.
For an argument to be illogical it only has to lack reason, this principle works off of assumptions and debatable evidence. To assert that the results of said principle are remarkable without first proving its foundation is indeed illogical.
To me this falls into the category of invalid reasoning.
Improbable reasoning is also illogical according to this defination.
For the anthropic principle to assert certain restrictions on the nature of life is illogical in the absence of supporting evidence. It is not a reasonable conclusion because it could clearly be groundless.
