Ah, the mystery has finally been lifted. I use a German keyboard and the order is somewhat different than English ones, (meaning the letters had a very cryptic meaning for me)

In America we use what is referred to as QWERTY keyboards based on the first six letters from left to right on the top row. What are they on a German Keyboard?
I was told one time that the arrangement of the letters on our keyboards was done to slow typists down because the early typewriters had hammers which would jam together.
