I'm halfway done with "Sister" by Rosamund Lupton and it is very, very good. Can't stop turning the pages!
Re: Reading for pleasure! What are you reading now?
I just read "One Day" by David Nicholls and am currently reading "We Have Always Lived in the Castle" by Shirley Jackson. I adored "One Day", it was such a unique love story...it never truly felt like a love story. I didn't like the character of Dexter but that made it seem more real to me and when the I read the last page i was sad to say goodbye to friends I had made.
While I haven't finished "We have always lived in the castle" it is quite outside of my usual romance genre. It is dark, twisted, with random pieces that fall into place later in the story like that last puzzle piece that didn't seem to fit until all the others were in place. I highly recommend both

I'm reading Must You Go? by Antonia Fraser, which is about her life with her husband, playwright Harold Pinter who passed away in 2008.

I'm reading A Certain Slant of Light by Cynthis Thayer. Quite good. It explores relationships between emotionally damaged people whose lives come together unexpectedly.

Recently I reread The Moomins series and it was lovely and sweet
At the moment I'm almost done with "The Blind Assassin" by M. Atwood. I absolutely loved the story inside of a story concept!
Next in line: "The Adventure of the Powder Room" by Eduardo Mendoza.

I have just read Brave New World by Aldous Huxley (which I loved). Just finished Babysitter IV by R.L Stine and now I am going to read Heathen by Shaun Hutson.

I love the Moomins books! i have only read two though at the moment but there are way more than I thought there was, and I actually love how subtle they are, the characters are all really human and I love it.Aqueda_Veronica wrote:Recently I reread The Moomins series and it was lovely and sweet
At the moment I am reading The Little Prince for pleasure, it seems to be a lovely little novella

I read that! I liked it, although not as much of his stuff lately as in the past...
