Who thinks this shit up? You really have to wonder how they came around to testing artificial flavoring on aborted cells. Why not use donated body parts from crash victims or what-have-you? For some reason that seems slightly less offensive than using the cells of aborted fetus's.

Some of the criticism against the company is precisely that they have other options. What's not clear is how many aborted fetuses have been used. It sounds like just one. Are they still conducting tests using this fetus' cells? You would think they would find other ways.

We must exercise our god-given right to very best-tasting, non-nutritive soft drinks. The whole world is watching.

You sound like a Coke fan. I think you're all just biased against Pepsi. I don't mind drinking babies.

Coke is definitely better. Its secret ingredient, of course, is tiger blood.

This is one of those awful true statements that generate its opposing myth, creating a vivid image which has emotional carriage regardless of the facts.

PepsiCo would be better off apologizing and promising not to allow such research in future. Otherwise the urban myth will cause people to make an association that is not helpful for marketing.

The true story is far too complicated to understand, whereas the simple false version cuts through.

I see a country song in the making:

"Momma's, don't let your babies, end up in a Pepsi."

I completely agree, Robert. The level of corporate stupidity is amazing. Perhaps this story hasn't gotten much traction yet, but by the time it does the damage will have been done.

Geo,

that clip is from billy madison.

Perfectly applies in this case.
