Gods
If Gods are immortal... why do they die?
Man has had many gods. He's created many gods that man doesn't believe in anymore. Can we say that these gods have died in the hearts and minds of men? If they are or were once real and are or were immortal... what has happened to them?
Since the beginning of Greek religion the sons of gods have usurped ultimate power from their fathers. Kronos took power from his father and then Zeus from his father, Kronos. Later, a prophecy was made that Zeus would have a son that would do the same to him. Naturally, like his father, he did everything to prevent this happening.
Who is the Christian god? Is it Yahweh? Jehova?
Anyway, the idea called Jehova had a mortal/immortal son - something that happened regularly for Greeks as the gods would lay with and impregnate mortals (also a very funny subject of Greek comedy). It's my understanding that christians pray to the son of god and accept him as their ruler? Is that right?
Is this a replacement of the old by the new as in Greek religion or something different?
We're in modern times and everything has become more tasteful. So the scenario seems very much the same when considering this.... doesn't it?
Is Jehova dead? Replaced? Did you vomit a little when I asked if Jehova was dead?
Who is the ruler of men's souls? Who wields the power?

That, 'vomit a little' must be some phrase that you guys have like the 'tea pot is space' or something.
I'll give you a hint. The name Jehovah is wrong. I explained in another post why so I won't repeat myself unless you want it again. It is fairly easy to research on you own but to make a long story short, there was never a Jehovah. As for the name of God for Christians; ?

You know, your cute play on I Am above. The name I Am told to Moses in Exodus 3 is spelled:
Yod Hey Vuv Hey. In ancient Hebrew the Vuv made a W sound so the spelling is
YHWH.
there were no vowels in Hebrew then and the Jews were alway careful not to try to spell it as they did not wish to mess the name up. In fact they would often not even write it.
But I suspect you knew that.

The Christian God will one day no longer be worshiped. This seems inevitable. Throughout history all Gods, like empires, rise and then eventually fall.
