Re: Is there any way of replying to one's own post?
Please do not register another username. This is against board rules here and on almost every web site.
The purpose of the feature that prevents you from making repeated posts to the same thread is to prevent a user from bumping their own post over and over. Every time a post is made to any thread that thread is bumped to the top of the forum. I can see in your case where this would be a problem. I am going to ask David (our web designer) to delete this feature as it has caused more problems than it has solved. I can see many situations, such as the one you mention, where it is helpful for a person to be able to make multiple posts in the same thread. Another situation would be in an individuals "Intro" thread where they are journaling day after day. Most of the time there will not be a follow-up post by someone else. So with their new feature turned on that Intro thread would see one post getting larger and larger, as opposed to seeing a bunch of new posts with new dates. I will delete this feature and we won't have this problem soon. Sorry for the inconvenience.
