I'd like to suggest we create threads that examine a single essay or lecture. The first post can be a link to or synoptic selection from the essay or lecture; and like the book discussions, we can include pertinent biographical or topical information from the speaker or author.

I like the idea and say go for it. I'd think you would want to create each essay threads in the appropriate forum, copy and paste the entire essay, and then initiate a discussion. I'm sure many people would be interested. This is basically what our Rationally Speaking article threads were. Massimo wrote a monthly essay and then we discussed it on the forums. I used to stick the essay into whatever forum it seemed to fit best.
BTW Massimo quit oing Rationally Speaking this month. Now he has created a Blog and I've linked to it on our home page.
