I never saw this option before...is this new to ezboard?
At the end of each topic, there is a rate drop down box...you can rate the topic from one to five.
I think this is a great way to let visitors and members alike to guage the quality of the topics, as opposed to simple post counts, which can be misleading as to the quality of a topic.
I am going to try to rate each topic I visit, I ask we all do the same.

I am not in favor of rating topics. What would be the criteria? That the reader is interested in that topic? Or agrees with the opinions? Or that the discussion is not useful or helpful? Or thinks the original poster is a do-dah?
Nah, I think Chris is right to have disabled them. Frankly, who cares how others rate a topic we are personally interested in? JMNSHO.

I was wrong once. What happened was I thought I was wrong, but I wasn't actually wrong, so I was wrong in thinking so. Golly, what a horrible feeling.
I sympathize with you, Mr. P. Oh, the burden of always being right. Sits heavily on the head, doesn't it. Sigh.

Nick's statement-"PHEW! I am so relieved...Dont be sorry about my being wrong on this one...It is VERY hard being right ALL the time. This helps me cope with my greatness..."
What I like most about Nick's statement is that it seems to imply that my disagreeing with him is what proves him wrong! It confirms my "being right ALL the time"! Sorry, Chris and Marti, but he didn't admit the error of his ways till I posted! I am so happy to have helped you see the light, Nick! Disagreeing with me DOES make one wrong! LOL |
