YOUR INVITATION HAS ARRIVED Your participation is requested in a progressive story party
Please join us in BookTalk’s progressive story! As your host I will provide you with the opening line. Each invited participant can then add one sentence. Thrills, suspense and surprises await as the story progresses. No RSVP is necessary, but a creative dress code is required. Also, it is not polite to be fashionably late.
The doors have now opened; the beginning of the story is the following:
"Ive told you a thousand times, do I have to act it out for you?"
Please add one sentence to this opening. Allow other members to respond before you come back to the buffet table for seconds. Each member is allowed to come back to the story and add additional sentences, but only one sentence at a time.
I hope you all enjoy this event, and I look forward to your attendance.

Again the dark thought bubbled up into my consciousness: there is a sharp butcher’s knife in the kitchen drawer, and books on anatomy and first aid in the bookshelf.

But to relay the idea, we should discuss it else we both lose too much blood, so we simultaneously pulled our our I-phones and put them to our good ears as I speed dialed him.

I tried to relax and think about the good times: the family picnics, the three-legged race that had everybody in stitches, the awkward swimming lessons at the YMCA, the bizarre night spent drinking with the two-headed lady from the circus; I forgot about the knife.

It felt like the knife was watching me, its sharpened metal gleaming in the dim light of the house, creating a sparkling reflection on the old, wood walls.
