Love That Dog - Sharon Creech
This is a wonderful children's book written completely in poetry. It is a one sided dialouge between a boy and his teacher. I would say the book is for age 10 and up, but it is a good read.
Has anyone else read it?

Hey that sounds pretty interesting! I'll look into reading it soon. I have a moderate enjoyment for poetry, although it is not my favorite of book genres, the 'plot' of it sound cool.

It is a really quick read, and the kid has a good story to tell that comes out in bits and pieces. I think you might like it. Most of the time it reads like prose with breaks in it, but there are some pretty poetic moments, in both senses of the word.
