What do you think of a "Twas the Night Before Christmas" poem contest? People have to make it related to BookTalk.org and they can use our author names and book titles and even member names throughout.

If someone would like to create such a contest and manage the whole thing I would be happy to provide the book awards to the winners. You can create a post explaining the contest and what people need to do to win. When the contest is over post the winners names in the same thread and I will contact them and mail them their free books.
I could use the help. Administrating BookTalk.org is very time consuming so extra stuff like contests is just too much for my schedule. We have the books to give away, but I just don't have the time to do it.
If any of you are feeling proactive and willing to create and run a contest please feel free. All the tools are at your disposal. Just create a post explaining the contest and use a post title that draws attention. Be creative.
We'll give away at least 1 free book...this I promise. And if you create and run a good contest we can give away many more. I just don't want to over-promise without seeing your contest and the thought that needs to go into making it a success.

Please do set this up. Make a post and I will make it so that your post is a sticky post (it stays up top so everyone can see it easily).
Keep in mind that we can only afford to mail free books to people living in the United States. I wish we didn't have such restrictions, but shipping overseas is expensive and most of the expenses of running BookTalk.org come out of my own pockets. So please make it known in your contest instructions that books can only be shipped within the United States.

I'm going to jump in here again. I like the idea of listing a few weird words, like, (hedgehog, horrific, sweet) maybe five words that need to be used within a story. Or, even used together in one sentence.

Yeah, this sounds fun. I'm going to create a new contest soon, but you can create one at any time too. There is no reason why we can't have multiple contests going simultaneously.
