| I'm familiar with the area. I went to Coral Park. I used to live in Kendall. I still have friends on Flagler. |

Welcome to the community.
My wife and I recently went down to South Beach for a weekend vacation and we really had a good time. Next time down there we will stay at the Whitelaw Hotel, if you're familiar with it. We love the atmosphere and energy. |

Hiya from another Miami native! Kendell to be exact.
I'm reintroducing myself to these forums. Nice to see so many nice and interesting people from South Florida!
If you are liking Twilight (I haven't read it yet), you might like the series I'm reading. It's the Sookie Stackhouse books by Charlaine Harris. It's a vampire comedy/horror set in the present day where vampires have "come out of the coffin" after the Japanese have invented synthetic blood. Now they are lobbying for equal rights and want to mainstream into society. Sookie Stackhouse is a small town waitress and telepath who hates being able to read everyone's thoughts. When she finally meets a vampire named Bill she discovers she can't read his mind at all. At the same time there's someone killing women in town who have been hanging around vampires. HBO just finished the first season of a series based on these books. |

| My boyfriend and I love True Blood. I can't wait til the next season starts. I saw the show first and then I found out about the books. Bill in the books is a little different than on the show and his relationship with Sookie is more complicated. Otherwise, I think Allen Ball stays pretty true to the spirit of the book and characters. |

| I might have to get the book soon. Both Bill and Sookie are awesome characters in the HBO series. |
