BookTalk.org Magnetic Bumper Stickers

Most of you probably received the email I sent out several weeks ago asking everyone if they would be interested in receiving a free BookTalk.org magnetic bumper sticker for their car. I was pleasantly surprised that about a dozen members quickly replied and expressed interest in receiving one.

So now I'm making a 2nd announcement to motivate even more members to join in with this bumper sticker idea. At this point I won't be able to just mail any more out for free. So read the following and decide if you'd like one.

The bumper stickers cost me about $5 each. Shipping them will be another $4 each on average. This is a total of $9 to get the stickers to each person that has already requested one. And I'll be mailing them out, along with some free BookTalk.org bookmarks, in the next day or two.

At $9 each I cannot afford to mail any additional bumper stickers to members free of charge. At least not at this time. Donations to BookTalk.org have been very sparse lately and all expenses, such as the ones mentioned above, come out of my own pocket.

This is what I'm proposing....

If you're one of the people that has already requested a bumper sticker you will receive it very soon. Thank you for helping support BookTalk.org!
Smile

If you haven't requested one yet I am still willing to send you one, but under the following conditions.

If you make a $10 donation to BookTalk.org through our secure online PayPal account you will receive....

- 1 magnetic BookTalk.org bumper sticker
- 1 free book from our "Books Available for Awards" thread in the "Contests & Book Giveaways" forum located at http://www.booktalk.org/books-available-for-awards-t4515.html
- Your name added to the list of BookTalk.org Donations page found at http://www.booktalk.org/contributors.php depending on how much you donate. If you donate $10, as requested, you'll be situated in the "Bronze Contributors" category (unless this donation bumps you up into a higher donation category based on past donations)
- An icon next to your name that shows up on all of your posts showing you as a BookTalk.org contributor. There are different donation levels so check out the Donations page at http://www.booktalk.org/contributors.php

With a $10 donation to BookTalk.org you will be covering the cost of the bumper sticker and shipping cost and then the shipping cost for a free book - but the book will indeed be totally free. Have you seen our "Books Available for Awards" thread" We have dozens of incredible books available.

When you make your donation please include the title of the book you would like to receive AND your real name and mailing address. There will be competition for certain book titles so those people that donate first will get first choice in books. PayPal donations are dated and time stamped so book choices will be in the same order as the donations received.

IMPORTANT:
Please give me 3 choices in books. List them as #1, #2 and #3 in order of preference. It can be very difficult to time things so having 3 choices is ideal.

Do not forget to tell me the book title you want and your mailing address please. And if you would like to take this opportunity to donate more than the requested $10 it sure would be appreciated. The $10 donation is covering my expense and nothing more. Additional donations are really needed and appreciated and if you can help support BookTalk.org please do so. I thank you in advance.

If you are one of the members that already requested a bumper sticker you can still receive a free book by donating $5 to cover the shipping cost. Just click on the PayPal link in the left sidebar or on the Donations page at http://www.booktalk.org/contributors.php to make a totally secure donation. You can use a credit card. Or if you prefer to not use a credit card just send a check to:

Chris O’Connor
PO Box 4624
Clearwater, FL 33758

Again, include with your check the title of the book you’d like and your mailing address. If you’re mailing a check please give several choices in books, because there will be a delay as your check is in progress through the mail system. Using PayPal is the best guarantee of getting the book of your choice.

Also, it would be fun to feature photos in our online photo album of cars displaying the magnetic bumper sticker. If you don't know how to add a photo to the photo album just email the photo to me and I'll post it for you. I'll add a photo of mine soon!

Thank you!
