Oh, our book vote tally-master shows his head. And he dares not tally the votes. What is wrong with this picture.

GentleReader, you're definitely welcome to vote in this book poll. The rule is that everyone must have 25 total posts and you're up to 40 at this point. The purpose to to eliminate the votes of people that probably won't really participate once the winning book is selected and announced. You've demonstrated that you'll be involved by the quality and quantity of your posts. And you haven't said anything inappropriate or out of place on the forums so don't be concerned with that. Speaking your mind, presenting and defending arguments is a good thing. But I'm glad that you're concerned with the rules and wanting to respect the civility of the community. You're the type of member we need and want around here. Smile

So how would you like to distribute your 3 votes?

I am casting 1 vote for each of the 3 books.

Current Score

The Cry for Myth = 4 votes

Reinventing Knowledge = 5 votes

The Limits of Power = 15 votes

3 votes for Reinventing Knowledge (if I'm allowed a vote, of course).

Sorry, I just wasn't clear on whether I could vote or not, since I've got more than 25 posts, but they're all from several years ago.

Zach, it was me that wasn't clear. You can definitely vote. Smile

My post was actually for Raving Lunatic, who said "Another vote for Reinventing." She has only 19 total post which is below the 25 post minimum threshold, but also she only cast 1 vote and the polling method we use allows for the casting of 3 total votes distributed over the 3 book choices however the voter deems appropriate.

Raving Lunatic, you can vote in this poll because you've lately been posting quality material on the forums and will probably (hopefully) participate in the book discussion. Usually we require 25+ posts because, from experience, many people with low posts will vote in a book poll and then never participate. I've been reading your posts and have a good feeling you'll be around for a long time. So please know you're welcome to vote and your vote counts.

But please let us know how you want to distribute your 3 points. Would you like all 3 to go towards Reinventing? This is usually what I assume when someone votes for only one book. Let me know. Smile

I apologize for my ignorance on this. First time I have ever voted. I would like to cast three votes for book two.

3 for 3, it's already in the mail anyways. Should be a depressing read!
