NBC is running a poll right:

Should the motto "In God We Trust" be removed from U.S. currency?

Not for me to say as I'm not a USA-ian. But I don't trust in god and I'd not swear an oath using the word god.

You probably mean, "One nation under God."

"In God We Trust" is on coins and currency.

LOL!!!! You are so right, Chris! What a funny mistake I made. My only excuse is that it was early this morning that I posted. Can you fix it?

And I thought it was a trick question! I voted yes. God should be taken off everything it was inserted on to over the years. The Pledge was changed to add it after all...so taking it off is just going back to the original.

I say remove it. It'll never fly though. Most Americans still can't accept evolution and they're sure as hell ain't gonna let 'God' be removed from the currency. This is a 'Christian nation' after all.

What would they say instead? How about "Fornit Some Fornus." It's an expression from a short sci fi story I read a long time ago. Fornits were tiny aliens who lived in a guy's typewriter and Fornus was a substance they shot all over that gave writers good luck. I can't remember who the author was.

I like Don't Panic better! That expression is cool and froody. What if it was only readable through peril sensitive shades?

Could it? I mean your talking about the recirculation of all bills in current circulation, a monumental and somewhat trivial task.

More imortant should be the removal of politicians who use God directly, not in a moral sense, as an answer to serious questions.

I assumed the question meant money made from this point forward. Anyway, paper currency doesn't have a very long life span, unlike coins .

I had a boyfriend in the eighties who had some very unique ideas about stuff and things. He heard of a conspiracy theory from somewhere and he believed it. The theory was that the government planned to tatoo all of our wrists with barcodes. The barcode would contain our identity, our financial info and our criminal records. The boyfriend was terrified that that would dehumanize us somehow, since we would not be able to get away with being criminals, use fake identification, and spend money we don't have. I like the idea of just having them scan my wrists at the Wal Mart checkout. Sounds very efficient and convenient. Solves the God thingy too. The only problem is that crooks might sever people's arms to get at their bank accounts and commit identity fraud.

I'm upset that God talks to George Bush. Does that mean He's a Republican?

Anyway, If GW is that kooky, it's pretty amazing they've kept it under wraps all this time.

Everytime he makes a large goof-up they cover it up with all his lesser goofs that are more funny in a haha not ahhh sense.

Like those times he mispronounces common words, not really a bad thing, I mean somepeople really can't help that, but everyone is able to laugh and agree that he must be a idot (he's not).

But when he spouts off on someonther issues it is not really that funny when you think about it, it is really scary what he is intentioning, but perhaps the majority of people are able to let it go because he is not being stupid directly Idea .
