I've picked that one from Chris's list, and I'll build on it:
| Quote: |
| Repeat everything someone says, as a question. |
Pretend you don't hear everything someone says, and ask her to repeat
This happened to me some years ago, someone I knew started saying "What's that?" every time I started talking. He wasn't deaf and there was no indication at all that he was doing it on purpose, so I kept repeating my sentences.
That would qualify as very annoying in my book.
I can't say I have much experience of this, but isn't this the type of behaviour you would expect from a man? I can't imagine a woman systematically looking at you absent-mindedly when you've said something and say "What's that"? or "What did you say?". I also wonder what's in it for the questioner. Unless he succeeds in convincing the talker to keep quiet once and for all, he's going to have to deal with the sentence the second time it's utterred... yet people rarely engage in strange or annoying behaviour unless there is something in it for them. |

Constance - the Penines are a range of hills (I hesitate to call them mountains after our visit to Italy last year) which run down the centre of England. Known as the backbone of England.
The Penine Way is a walk from the very north of England to the South. Not going around the mountains......going 'over' them, following ley-lines and etc.
He wants to walk it!!!! There is too much 'up' for my liking.
We can also do the coast to coast walk....from St Bees in Cumbria across to the East coast..........
Constance,....I love him....but I am not going to do that either!!!!! |

I guess that is a lot of "up"....half the walk is uphill if you want to remind him of that
It sound like this is a really long hike. How long would it take to complete? |

Constance - It would take a fortnight to walk the Penine Way and one needs to train for it for a few weeks first.
Well, I mean.....Who would carry my hairdryer???? |
