hi,
I am just wondering if you would like to have a channel on Mirc, where we could chat and get to know each other better.
If you don't know it yet, go to http://www.mirc.com/
It's been around for quite some time now.
Please let me know what you think. |

I am slightly familiar with it, but I am hesitant to start anything new. My schedule is ridiculously slammed and I barely have time for what I already put into BookTalk.org.
Do you use MIRC? Do you know how to set up a channel?
And would be get visitors from other channels? This would be a good thing. A closed channel that is always password protected would not be any more valuable than our existing chat room. But a channel that is listed in a long list of available channels might get us some new members. |

Install MIRC,
select any EFNET server (like irc.efnet.net)
and join #booktalk
My nick there is longbeach.
And we can talk. I do not have much time to chat there myself, but it's always nice to be able to talk live from time to time.
If you type /list you will see this newly created channel listed and so other people can find it and join.
And since a picture is worth a thousand words, here is a screenshot that i just took :
So i hope to see you there soon ! |
