New here, I'm a 27 year old guy, I like reading fiction and the occasional Non-Fiction book. I am in college for Graphic Design & Web Design, I just recently, in the last year started reading consistently. I was an obsessive reader from the time I learned to read until early high school, High School was rough times and after high school I had three daughters, the first one at 19 with my wife of 5 years. So with my problems in my late high school years and alot of baby and college time, I have not fond much time to read, but now I really enjoy reading before bed and while my kids nap during the day. I spend most of my free time away from the kids and my wife playing video games (also an infatuation of mine), doing homework or reading. Books I've read since I started up again are:
Stephen Kings Dark Tower Series 1-4
Steve Niles' Criminal Macabre
Robert E Howards' three Conan compilations & The Savage Tales of Solomon Kane
Chuck Palahniuks Fight Club
Will be starting on Battle Royale by Koushun Takami in the next day or two.
Anyway, I'm just introducing myself, I'm an extremely open person, if you have questions about me just ask.

Welcome to BookTalk, Joshua.
What video games are you into? Whenever people refer to their gaming as an infatuation or addiction I always expect to hear that they are into World of Warcraft, Everquest or maybe Lord of the Rings. What's your addiction? I used to play EQI and II and then World of Warcraft for a while. But they are indeed addicting and can ruin a life and marriage quickly so I broke away and struggle not to look back.
Good to have you here. Feel free to look around and just start posting wherever you see something of interest. And if you have questions you can post them or email me or Ophelia. |

| I spend roughly 5-6 hours a day playing Call of Duty 4, it depends on how much homework I got rolling. Also a big Gears of War fan, I own pretty much every console except the Sega Dreamcast and Saturn, otherwise I own three Nintendos, a Super Nintendo, an N64, Xbox, Xbox 360, PS2, PS1, Sega CD, Sega Genesis, Gamecube. I play alot of everything, but unfortunately I don't care for the World of Warcraft type games, I love the artwork, but I'm not a big rpg fan. Fable and Jade Empire are the only two rpg games I really cared for, but I understand where the addiction to WoW comes from, CoD 4 has a similar upgrade system that has me playing just to try out what I'll unlock next, even though I'm leveled out, now I just try and get my skill up. |

| My older brother is into the same types of games as you. His whole family shares the love for shooter style games - if that is the way to describe them. I just haven't been able to justify buying those games systems. They seem to be getting more and more expensive, and then when you add the costs of the actual games it is like buying a small airplane. |
