I ordered twelve DVDs from Howard Hughes Medical Institute not too long ago. Everything in the catalog is free, including the shipping.
So far I've only watched Evolution: Constant Change and Common Threads & Evolution: Fossils, Genes, and Mousetraps. I really like how the lectures are organized in the Chapter List. If you have a short attention span or don't feel like watching the entire lectures, you can just browse through the chapters and click on whatever question peaks your interest. Everything is a little more basic than I expected, but it's a great refresher. It's definitely high school level material.

David M. Kingsley
Dr. Kingsley studies the evolution of traits in vertebrates and has done research with stickleback fish. He is interested in genetics and the evolution of skeletons. |
