Hey!
I'm excited, I have been looking around the internet for a book club that is actually reading and discussing...glad to be here!
Questions...ok:
Where do you live and what do you do for a living?
I live in Maine and I've just returned to school...so I'm a student. I do work-study and pick up odd jobs. It's quite a change of pace from my old office job.
What kind of books do you enjoy?
I like non-fiction (biographies, psych- my major) and some classic novels. I'll give some other fiction a try though...just never think to go for that.
What are your favorite hobbies or special interests?
I like camping, hiking, being outside, eating, cooking, wine and spending time with friends...lots of things!
I guess that's about it, hope to meet some of you on the boards soon |

Hello Jenga, and welcome to Booktalk!
You've found the right place...
Our next non-fiction selection is "Our inner fish" by Neil Shubin.
As far as non-fiction goes, I personally like history and psychology: I often read books by psychiatrists, atb the moment I'm reading the works of French
ethologist and psychiatrist Boris Cyrulnik, who has been translated into several languages but not English apparently.
President Carmacho and I are also going to read Cannibals and Kings by Martin Harris, as a sidebar discussion, in case you are interested.
Make yourself at home on our forums, start posting wherever you feel like it, and if you have questions just ask them.
See you! |
