I would not rule out the possibility, but I do not “believe” in anything that has no measurable evidence.

Like Frank, I can't rule out the possibility of a life after death.
I can live my life without needing to know what happens next: I will do the best I can on earth regardless of whether there is a next stage.
In such a simple (for me) question, you have a 50 % chance of being wrong whatever you choose. Whatever is in store for me after death, I will have to face it whether I've made a "decision" about what I believe or not.
I view it as a blessing to know that other people believe in life after death (and have sometimes spent their lives discussing the fine points of it) and not be affected by that possibility, not even feel the need to choose camps. |

I live in quite an old house - built in 1834. I have lived here for almost thirty years. We have a very sweet and peaceful ghost - a soldier, a very young man in uniform.
We call him George. He has been seen by people other than myself.
He has a certain smell - not unpleasant and he turns up often if we are decorating or doing any house alterations or improvements.
He has a very peaceful and reassuring presence and is not the least bit spooky. |

I am energy, therefore I can be neither created nor destroyed. I can only change form......... |

| I don't live with any doubt about this question: when my body dies, my existence as Will is over. That is the only existence that has meaning to me. If something "impersonal" survives after death, as some say, that's fine. But I'm indifferent to that. |

One of the most common mistakes is to assume that every situation that has two potential outcomes means there is a 50/50 probability of either occuring. I don't have time to elaborate much on this right now, but I'll ask a quick question to make my point...
A man claims he can shoot 16 pound bowling balls out of his ass at 600 mph. Either he can or he can't. There are two mutually exclusive outcomes. He cannot both do and not do this.
Make a rough estimate of the probability that this man can actually fire the bowlings balls out of his ass at close to the speed of sound. |

Even if the man could... would he want to?
That action sounds very painful!

This is the only trek into any kind of 'spiritual' realm I can accept. It is true after all. The energy and matter that makes us goes on.

Well, when I was making my 'leather goods' a few years back, I met some people that might actually enjoy this Frank!
