The final chapter was a good synopsis of the numerous ideas Pinker presented earlier in the book. However, the Plato's cave analogy seemed unnecessary.

I'm glad that I've finally completed the book. While it was well written and contained many worthwhile ideas, I've ready to pick up another book.
