Thanks for pointing out my mistake. I had to delete that poll and put up this new one, as EZBoard does not allow any edits once a poll is posted. Please vote and make your post again!
And it would be nice to see the names of people planning to attend too.

Yes, I certainly will try to.
But I need yours and otehrs help with my question. English is not my native language.
Our collegues to Damasio here mention that they like him but want to give feedback to him that he need to look more deeply into something they used the word "dynamic".
Me not into Neuroscience know that it was not the Freudian dynamic it has to be something else. Has anybody writing in english reviewed Damasios theories and mention this criticism?
The word dynamic could be too connotated so we need to look for another search word in google.
Please help me with this.

If we are too few active now could be that the topic is too demanding. This is my third book by him and the only one I failed to finish reading. Or maybe I ahvwe changed due to personal experiences of email lists and forums.
anyway, my suggestion is this.
we could do a kind of rehearsal. We are a handful of people who have promised ourself to be there at the chat the March 18 at 6 PM EST.
My question will be about the criticism that has arised among some of our local researchers. They say his views are too "static" and they ask him to look into a more "dynamic" view.
I have no clue on wha that refers to.
Peter Gärdenfors si one of them so I ahve to write to him and ask him. But such persons are up to their head full of Students questions so they have very little time with us nobodies like me. Would he even read my email?
So the rehearsal woudl be that we all pretended to be Damasio and see if my questions is even able to make. I respont to your questions in similar way. Try to guess how he would answer your questions.
Thsi way we learn from each other and don't repeat the same questions twelve times.
What do you say folks?
and help me with the time translation please.
Here in Europe it is maybe some 6 hours dif or so? So when its 6PM EST in US then it should be 24.00 European Central Time and 11PM GMT? Is that excactly or a whole hour wrong then?
I tried to find out using a Greenwish site but forgot again how to know for sure. |
