American society has, over time, become more tolerant of minorities, such as Blacks, Jews, and gays. However, tolerance for atheists and agnostics does not seem to be increasing significantly.Is that the case, and if so, why?[To clarify, it's obviously a lot easier to be an atheist or agnostic in modern society than to be Black or gay. However, the plight of Blacks & gays has improved greatly over the last few decades, while improved tolerance of freethinkers isn't as apparent.] Edited by: JulianTheApostate at: 10/2/05 11:31 pm
