In addition to being our guest in the BookTalk chat room Dr. Scott hinted that she will be checking this forum to see what people are saying, and just might make some posts during the quarter. ;)

If you have never used our chatroom you should familiarize yourself with it soon. We will set up some casual chats prior to this author chat so that everyone is comfortable with using the chatroom.

Incidentally, guys, I think this has the potential to be one of the best chats we've had. The book provides a lot of basic but lesser known information that gives us plenty of points from which to spring off in discussion. It should be worth joining in on. Please check out the book, jump in on the discussion, and plan to attend the chat.

Author chats are always very interesting. I enjoy these chats and appreciate that the authors take time from their busy schedules to chat with us. I am looking forward to this chat with Dr. Scott! I hope to see many of you there!

Well I just finished chapter 7 and I am very impressed with the book so far.

This live chat should be very exciting I am really learning a lot about the history of religion and American religion in particular.

Some of the ignorance we face on a daily basis is finally clear to me. I had no idea that most people of the older generations have never been taught evolution. They have gotten their knowledge about the subject from their church.

No preconceptions there.

I've picked up the book from the library, and have started it. I want to be at the chat, and while I don't think I'll have any questions, I don't want to be out of the loop.

I'm the perfect audience for the book, btw...knowing just enough about the issues to know that I need clarification! :\

The subject matter is such that you really don't need to have read the book to participate. I look forward to seeing you there. ::80
