Anarchist in the Oval Office
Anyone want to take a stab at explaining how Stephen K. Bannon is not an anarchist? At yesterday's CPAC conference in Washington, he described his vision for "the deconstruction of the administrative state." He told the conservatives present that the President shares the vision and tells him and Priebus every day that he will not fail to deliver on this promise to the American people. While I don't believe Bannon that Trump has such a vision, if Bannon continues to be able to influence and manipulate Trump, Trump will be a de facto anarchist. Or am I exaggerating?

You're exaggerating.. there is little concrete evidence that the entire sky is falling because liberals are no longer in power - because that's what this is really all about.
Relax.
Relax.

Re: Anarchist in the Oval Office
Anarchy is the complete lack of government where even the police are non-existent and it's every man for himself, holed up in a heavily armed double wide. So yeah I think that's an exaggeration, but it doesn't mean the problem isn't serious. To take one example, even though the environment survived James Watt as secretary of the interior, we now have a head of the EPA that may be hell-bent on returning to the daze of Love Canal... Too early to tell, but talk of deconstruction could be dangerous.
Right wingers frequently over-reach when they gain power. Remember W's folks who crowed about "The Unitary Executive" and the vast powers he would use to remake reality while others could only sit back and observe. Some of the rhetoric from Trump and Bannon sounds similar, we'll see if it deflates in a similar manner.

To judge the evidence for what I said, decide whether Stephen Bannon is the President's closest advisor and whether he has beliefs as indicated. That's all you need to do.ant wrote:You're exaggerating.. there is little concrete evidence that the entire sky is falling because liberals are no longer in power - because that's what this is really all about.
Relax.
"Relax" is poor advice under these circumstances.
