Hi folks. I recently published the Edification Party Manifesto on kindle amazon under the name Steven Forester. This work calls for the establishment of a democratic world government and lays out the essential philosophy and moral code of this new movement.
I would greatly appreciate some feedback The booklet is free if you have kindle unlimited. Cheers.

Re: New Manifesto
That looks interesting, Steven. How would you counteract the right wing extreme paranoia about One World Government? How does this compare to the goals of The Zeitgeist Movement?

Re: New Manifesto
Thanks for responding Appreciate it friend.
Well, what we're advocating isn't anything as sophisticated as a non monetary resource based economy.
The work is essentially a call for the establishment of a worldwide democracy with a federal republic safeguarding the rights of all world citizens.
It's our belief that the world as it stands is both dangerous and unfree. The UN is basically toothless and unable to provide the leadership needed on the world stage. I won't bore you by going on about the obvious dangers posed by climate change, nuclear weapons and the military industrial complex, but such issues need to addressed by a strong international body working for the best interests of human kind.
We also believe that such things as poverty and war can be abolished by a truly united effort, and a more equal and just world could emerge with a new global system.
As far as countering right wing paranoia goes, I honesty don't know how to go about doing that. Any ideas? One world government paranoia and conspiracy theories are part of the culture unfortunately.
I think the internet might be the key to unlocking the door to massive change. I work on the side as a ambassador of sorts for an NGO called vote world parliament (voteworldparliament.org). We need more people to become aware of this referendum than they are at present, but anyway. I've rambled on long enough.
Cheers and have a great day

Re: New Manifesto
Hello Trent, and welcome to Book Talk. While I admire your effort, the cynic in this old curmudgeon fears it is doomed to failure. You mention right wing extremeists, but how aout left wing extremists, and religious fanatics, and I don't mean just ISIS. They all have the same belief - "Be reasonable, do it MY way." I will put your book on my "To Read" list though, and let you know what I think. Though it may take a while, as I am curently up to my eyeballs in projects.
Love what you do, and do what you love. Don't listen to anyone else who tells you not to do it. -Ray Bradbury
Always listen to experts. They'll tell you what can't be done, and why. Then do it. -Robert A. Heinlein

Re: New Manifesto
Thanks very much I take your point about fanatics of the left. I've met a few in my time. I remain hopeful though that people across the political spectrum, people of different faiths and cultures, can find a way to work together and establish a peaceful and just world order. Cheers and have a great day.
