A good post, and very informative. Although I try to watch what I buy (and eat), there were some things I missed. Being a Type 2 diabetic, I are pretty careful and looking at the ingredients, e.g. fats, sodium, sugar and carbohydrates. One additional point, always compare calories per serving, and serving size. If a can of salted nuts says 10 calories per serving, then lists the serving size as one nut, watch out.
