Deborah Lawrenson - writer, reader, booklover

Unread post

Hello, I'm Deborah and although I'm English, I have a passion for the South of France, and live there part of the year in an old hamlet on a hill that eats up far more money than I will ever make from writing books! I don't care, though. I'm just happy in the sunshine, eating bread and vegetables - so long as I have good books to read, and a notebook. I don't really understand how people can say, with strange pride, "Oh, I never read...".

Here's my website: www.deborah-lawrenson.co.uk.

Hello Deborah! Welcome to the community. :-)

Yes, I do find is peculiar that people are quick to mention that they don't read. It is as if these people just don't get it. They don't know what they're missing. To them their rejection of books is like not liking a particular flavor of ice cream. I feel bad for these people.
