Hi,
My name is Matt Pallamary from San Diego and I am a perspiring writer. I have been teaching at the Santa Barbara Writers Conference and the Southern California Writer's Conference for over twenty five years and have lectured at numerous other venues. I have spent extended time in the jungles, mountains, and deserts of North, Central, and South America pursuing my studies of shamanism and ancient cultures.

In this day and age there is so much happening so quickly, that it is an ongoing challenge to keep things as fresh and original as possible, As much as that is possible!)

You're making me realize I need to get nutty and rob a bank or BASE jump off the Sunshine Skyway Bridge...you know, just to have stuff to talk about.

Re: Matt Pallamary - A Perspiring Writer
Hi, Matt,
My name is Kate Porter and I live in South Carolina. I'm a new member of Book Talk and I'm grateful to have a place where I can go to ask questions and learn from other "perspiring authors" such as yourself.
I grew up on a small farm in Indiana and have enjoyed writing for my own pleasure and comfort since I was a kid, (we won't discuss how many years that has been). I haven't lead as adventurous a life as you seem to have lead but many of my characters have!
I've been researching shamanism for some of my books and hope I can pick your brain, so to speak, in the near future. You can find out more about me and my books by visiting http://www.kate-porter.net
