Hello! My name is Kelly and I am a female from NJ.
In the past couple of years I've found it difficult to socialize with people. Joining this club is an attempt to be a member of the human race again.
I found this site after doing a Google search for online book clubs. I was intrigued by the extensive and varied list of books that are discussed here. I read most genres except for romance.
I hope you'll be hearing from me!

Hello. I hope you succeed in your attempt! Do you like music? Any artists in particular?

Hi Kelly and welcome to Book Talk. Your reading tastes seem to mirror my own. In the past few months I have read science-fiction, mystery, biography, and general fiction. Always looking for someone who can recommend a good book, or is in search of a suggestion.

Not exactly sure how to respond to particular posts so in general thank you to all who responded.
To answer your question Kevin - I like all kinds of music it depends on what kind of mood I'm in. I don't favor one artist over another - I listen to Johnny Cash, Elton John, Sarah McClachlen (sp?), Bobby Darin, AC/DC and on and on.

I'm listening to Johnny Cash right now... Hot and Blue Guitar.

Again, KKd4, your tastes seem to mirror mine. I like almost all music, except rap (which I do not consider music). I like Johnny Cash, Jimmy Buffet, John Denver, Loretta Lynn, Allison Kraus. I also like jazz; John Coltrane, Charlie Parker, the Marsalis brothers, and some of the big band time sounds of that era. I also enjoy an occasional foray into classical, Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, Tchaikovsky, etc.
