Hi Folks, this is my first post on the forum...thank you by the way to Chris for the welcoming message.
I haven't negotiated my way around totally, so I apologise immediately if I am in the wrong place to ask this question.
Basically, I am trying to revisit some of the books that I read during my pre-teens and teens and in particular I am trying to recall a series of books about a young nurse.
I am sorry, but I have no other information, not even an author's name and I was wondering if any other users of the forum might remember the series I am talking about.
We are looking at probably mid to late 1960's and I am sure the titles of the books were something like "Girls name Student Nurse"/Staff Nurse...and so on up through the ranks of the girl's career.
I have looked on line myself and can only come up with "Cherry Ames...Student Nurse" etc" and I don't think this is the one I am on about!
Any ideas anyone??

I wish I could help you, but I haven't heard of it. I'll keep my nose on the path for you though, and I'll let you know if I find something.

Re: Vintage books
Hi, Vera. When I read your post, I immediately thought of the Cherry Ames books (though I have never read them). You might try logging on the Fantastic Fiction, www.fantasticfiction.co.uk, in the search box, select book, and enter Student Nurse. It may give you something.
BTW, welcome to Book Talk; I will check for a post on Introduce Yourself.

Re: Vintage books
Hi Vera Way
I Google "student Nurse 1960's" and came up with Sue Barton series about a the life of a nurse that extends from nursing school to well into her career.
If you switch to the Google visuals you will see a large number of paperback covers with related titles.
Good luck.

Re: Vintage books
I vaguely remember a soft core porn novel called The Ever Ready Nurse. I'm guessing that's not the right book.
