Alternatively we can just worship Darwin and mechanisms.

awe and inspiration are illusions created (oops! - there's that dirty word again!) by evolution, Flann.

disbelief, however, is not.

We need deprogramming from our many illusions. So much is illusion we are are told that it's almost like nothing is real. Mother's are just wired to love their babies.

1) Babies do not come out of the womb asking for a copy of the Bible

2) Babies do not ask if there is purpose in nature

3) Babies just want to sleep

4) Babies are affiliated with no particular political party.

Conclusion:

Babies are atheists

Aye carumba. A barrage of posts that really have no bearing on my point. Take a breath and back up.

Can a baby formulate or understand a proposition?

If you answer yes, provide evidence. If you answer no, then a baby cannot have beliefs, and Chris is correct.

It is not any more complex than this.

And they haven't even read "The God Delusion." They wouldn't be intellectually fulfilled at that stage!

Does this imply you agree with ant's depiction of Chris' logic? That lacking certain, very specific, pieces of evidence, we can assume babies are atheists? It is an excellent example of the sort of strawman post that degrades these conversations.

You picked one post out of several I made on this thread to mock. And you've provided no refutation, at least none that was coherant before you put in some clapping emoticons. I'm sorry, you've provided me nothing.
I am just your typical movie nerd, postcard collector and aspiring writer.
