Quote: WASHINGTON - For the better part of two years, the word coming out of the Bush White House was that presidential adviser Karl Rove had nothing to do with the leak of a female CIA officer's identity and that whoever did would be fired.
But Bush spokesman Scott McClellan wouldn't repeat those claims Monday in the face of Rove's own lawyer, Robert Luskin, acknowledging the political operative spoke to Matthew Cooper of Time magazine, one of the reporters who disclosed Valerie Plame's name.
...
"The White House promised if anyone was involved in the Valerie Plame affair, they would no longer be in this administration," said Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev. "I trust they will follow through on this pledge. If these allegations are true, this rises above politics and is about our national security."

How UN-ethical of such a religiously raised group of Christians...
Why is this Administration still in office? Oh yeah...they played the fear card...

I was reading about this in the Times today. It seems to me that the only way they're going to actually call Rove to task is if enough independent parties apply the pressure necessary to force their hand. If he was responsible for the leak, I think Rove should be dropped from the administration -- that sort of irresponsibility gets people killed. Even if it's never proven that he was the source of the leak, they should probably tread very carefully with him in the future.

Firing Rove would be a huge blow to the puppet we call our president. They will fight for him tooth and nail I am sure, if not overtly, then covertly. Rove is the brains behind Bush's success and is so involved behind the scenes. I would love to see him go. Love it.

Fire the man? What on earth are they talking about? Nothing short of prison is good enough for anyone who tries to put the life of another human into danger. This is the kind of thing that gives mafia godfathers a bad name.

Whatever his value to the administration, another big concern may be loyalty, which has been something of a byword with the Bush administration. Bush is simply reluctant to part with any of the crew that he's accumulated over the years. In part that may be because he's not sure he could achieve the same degree of success without them; in part it may be that they all know a little too much of the inner workings of the administration; but in large part I think they just put a great deal of store in loyalty as a value. It'll be interesting to see how the whole thing plays out, particularly if the critics apply their pressure as best they can.

Hey, let's focus on the good news, okay?? At least he did not get a blow job in the White House (that we know about!)
Some things are important, and others are not.
Sexual activity is obviously the most important. Some of these guys haven't had any in years.
The security of our intelligence gathering organs, not so much.
