Hi, I'm Carolyn from South Florida. I found BookTalk from doing a search for online book groups. The search yielded a NY Times article about book groups that mentioned BookTalk.....and here we are :) I also enjoy cross stitching, which might be an addiction LOL I read most genres, with the exception of sci-fi and horror.

Hi Carolyn,

In what area of South Florida do you live? I'm in Palm Harbor. :-)

It is always nice to hear people are finding us through that New York Times article.

Hi Chris,
I live on the East Coast.....Palm Beach County. One of my husband's best friends lives in your neck of the woods, Largo.

I moved from Largo 2 years ago and still own a property down there. It's about 30 minutes south of Palm Harbor.

Hi Carolyn, and welcome to Book Talk. :welcome: Saw your post on my thread about book discussion groups. :thanks2: It is always interesting to see what genres others like to read. My tastes are fairly broad as well; I like, in no particular order, science fiction (Hey, tastes differ), mystery/thriller, fantasy (some), historical fiction, western (some), and good general fiction. I also like to read history, biography, and just about anything except romances.

Looking forward to some interesting discussions.
