The ides of March is a Roman term for the middle of March, but was used by Shakespeare as a warning of doom to Julius Caesar (Being stabbed to death on the senate floor by angry senators) in the play of the same name.
The term is still often times associated with conspiracies, tyrants and assassinations.

| Yes, Frank is our own little soothsayer: "Beware the Ides of March." |

Forsooth, we have a soothsayer in our midst.
But what's a sooth? Or should it be "what's sooth?"
Anyone?

You know, I've been completely captivated by the HBO miniseries, Rome. The last season ended with the murder (called "tyrannicide" by the perpetraitors) of Julius Ceasar in the Senate. Ciaran Hinds played Ceasar and I frankly fell in love with him over the course of the series and, knowing full well what was in store, was upset at seeing him destroyed in the season finale.

Yes Rome is an excellent series and Caesar was a great character, I was really hoping they would extend out the story to have the actor stay around for a while.
