Fairy Fanatic!
Hello! I am 26 years old. I live in Ohio (GO BUCKS). I absolutely love reading. For Christmas my boyfriend usually buys me a new book shelf for my library. This year he decided that he was tired of putting them together so he bought me a kindle. All those books at my fingertips...it's a dream come true. I also love cross stitch, gardening, puzzles and napping with my dog. I am a 60 year old woman trapped in a 26 year olds body I love reading all genres of books but I tend to lean towards fantasy/sci fi. I found book talk on facebook and I was excited to find so many others that share my adddiction!

Hello bizbuff and welcome. Why are you a fairy fanatic? Do you put little dishes of milk outside at night to keep the little buggers happy? I am part Welsh so I am a bit of a fairy fanatic myself. I hope you enjoy yourself here on the forums!

I do not set out milk, only because I have a rotten dog who would get into it. I love reading everything I can about them and love to see paintings or drawings of them. I am thinking about getting a fairy for my next tattoo!

Greetings, hope you're not one to shrink from debates about what makes good sci-fi.
I do wonder about you Kindle converts, and how the transition affects your habits. It would sadden me to hear that you no longer enjoy a good rifle in a local bookshop, surely one of the enduring pleasures of being a reader? That said, I do want a Kindle too, but I'll be using it warily.

I still spend hours looking at books and love the feel of the pages. The only ways my habits have changed are that I read 2 books at once, one on the kindle and one real book. I read the kindle in bed so that I don't wake my boyfriend with the light. I'll also take it with me on car trips that i know will be dark. And it's come in mighty handy on the back of the motorcycle I still prefer holding a book and being able to see how far along I am.
