The Book Of Demons

Unread post

After reading the books about gods, like 7 secrets of Hindu calender arts and 7 secrets of Shiva, now I am chasing the demons..

My current read is 'The book of demons' by Nanditha Krishna..

It is about the villains in mythology.. The author is trying to find out why all these baddies are called baddies..
What have they done ? Are they actually bad guys or are they demonized by the winners ?
Let me see what the author says..
Will update you after reading.. :)

Life and these lips have long been separated:
Death lies on her like an untimely frost
Upon the sweetest flower of all the field.”

Thank you, I just bought Sons of Gods: The Mahabharata by Aruna Sharan. Sounds like a good follow-up :)

I'm studying Indian culture because the female mc in my next book is a Indian Muslim converted to Hindu. I started research where I start all my research, with food :)

Aruna is a friend from a writer's group, and it was purely coincidental that she released this at the same time

I see you're Indian. I have to say, they've been so nice to the wife and me, and we have long conversations about food almost every day. It's been a lot of fun. We were invited to Park51 (Misnomer: The Ground Zero Mosque) to do an interview. I asked because the story takes place during the protests

The good thing about being a writer is life never gets boring

Give us more and more books...

I see that you already have many Indian friends..
But please let me know if I may be of any use in your research..
I would be more than happy to help you...
