Please fill out your entire profile!

It should only take a minute to click on "Profile" and fill in all the details. And it sure will make the forum look better.

Location - an important field that will help me with figuring out when and to whom to mail free books. For the time being free books can't be sent to members outside of the USA, but in time this will change. So if you're in the USA and haven't filled in your location you are not going to have the chance to receive free books.

Flag - this simply looks cool. Why not select your nations flag?

Gender - another good field. This helps our statistics program track how we are doing with appealing to members of both sexes. Click on the statistics link in the left sidebar to see what percentage of our members are males vs. females.

Adding an Avatar is always nice. All the rest of the fields are optional, but it is clear many members have never explored their profiles. You can really do some cool stuff if you just look around. And while you're at it feel free to set yourself up on the email Digests. The link is at the very top of all pages to the far right.

I'd really like to fully complete my profile and get a cool flag but I seem to be having problems with the map at the bottom of the page. I'm new at this so it's not obvious to me. There is probably a place that explains the navigation of this site but I haven't found it. Sorry!

Just click on the "Profile" link at the very top of every page. It is directly below the green navigation bar at about the middle of the page.

The map you see in the left sidebar at the bottom of the page links to a map that is not on our site, but we own it. You can put a push pin into the place where you live. But this isn't doing anything to your actual profile on BookTalk.org. Edit your profile the way I described above. I hope this helps. :smile:
