Please read BEFORE posting in the "Introduce Yourself" forum

This forum is a friendly place for new members to say hello to the BookTalk.org community. We love meeting new members and hope you take a few minutes to tell us a bit about yourself. :)

  • Are you male or female?
  • Where are you from?
  • What are your hobbies or special interests?
  • What sort of books do you enjoy reading?
  • How did you find BookTalk.org?

1. Please do no make an introduction post if you have no intention of interacting with us
If you introduce yourself you'll be greeted by BookTalk.org members. We get excited when new people join and we take our time to give them a warm welcome.

2. Create your own introduction thread
Please do not introduce yourself in someone else's introduction thread.

3. Use a descriptive subject line for your introduction thread
A subject line shouldn't simply be "Hi" or "My Intro." Try something unique.

4. If you're an author or publisher do NOT tell us about your books in this forum
We have forums specifically for suggesting books, and this is not one of them.

Authors & Publishers that would like to share their books with BookTalk.org members and visitors have several options available. For maximum visibility consider advertising on BookTalk.org.

If you're brand new to forums you might want to read our FAQ page.

Miguel Cervantes, Don Quixote
Daniel Tammet, Born On A Blue Day
Anne Fadiman, The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down

...and many others....

Some of my favorite quotes:

'Alright then, I'll go to hell.' - Mark Twain
'Was this trip really necessary?' - Bugs Bunny
'The civility of one race will never be perfect while another is degraded.'

Post Re: Ni how ma?
Hi there! Welcome to the forums :)

I also like Misery, probably my favorite Stephen King book. I don't read a whole lot of horror, so I'm not particularly well-versed, but Misery freaked me out.

Cheers,
Alyson

If you like Cervantes you're alright in my book. I stayed next to a Cervantes institute in Berlin one year, but not speaking Spanish I never did drop in for a visit.

Must say I expected a spam thread after seeing your thread title, but that's my bad because it was only a few months ago when a friend taught me this Chinese phrase.
