| I can't explain it any better than MA, but I am having the same problem. I just noticed it in the past few days. Usually, I can see the entire page on my screen when I go to the forums page. Now, in order to see the entire width of the page, I have to scroll over. It is annoying me in the same way that it is annoying MA--I have to scroll over to the right to see the post dates, then scroll back over to the left to click on the forum title. |

Chris OConnor: I might not understand the terminology here. "Relative" width? You mean a width that is a percentage as opposed to a foxed size?
There are three kinds of width in coding for a webpage. One is fixed, where you set a number, and that's how it displays. One is a percentage, where you say this elements will take up this proportion of the screen and that elements will take up that proportion, and they'll add up to 100%. And the last is relative, which means that the element will change size according to how big each user makes his browser window.
I'd suggest making the sidebar a fixed size and the rest of the page relative.
So you're saying that 900 pixels is too wide for those computers in the library?
Some of them, yes. Some are older machines than others. The computers at the university library will handle pretty much whatever you throw at them, but I'm only at that library about twice a week. The computers at the library come in two flavors -- old and older. I routinely have to decrease the text size on some of the machines. And if I'm the only one likely to go through that, then I wouldn't worry about it if I were you. But if I'm running into problems, there's a good chance that others will have the same problem.
Are you making the changes through code, or through EZBoard's layout preferences? If it's the latter, see if they have an option of relative width. If they don't, let me look around a little -- I may be able to find a fix. |

Thanks for explaining things better guys. Do me a favor and see if you are having the same problem on the main site pages. Click on the links up in the orange link bar, such as "Home, About, Join...Contact." Is the exact same thing happening?
I will fix it just as you suggested Mad. Thanks for the feedback. I basically went into the code and changed it to 900 pixels from the original 750. There isn't any buttons for "relative width," but I bet there is a way to code for it. It will be done, but I was way too busy today.

| It is the same way on the homepage, for me. I have to scroll to the right to see the rest of the page. |
