Major Update Completed - Post Any Bugs Here
Hi all,
We've just completed a big update of the forums, and due to the complexity of it I wouldn't be surprised if there's a few bugs lurking. If you have any issues in the next while, don't hesitate to let us know. Please include at least the exact link to the problem, a brief description, and the browser you're using.

I think we lost a few posts -- two for sure on the "Got a song in your heart" thread.

I apparently can't remain logged in, even after checking the box, and every time I sign in I get a new automated welcome message from Chris. Not that I mind the friendliness, it's just a little redundant at this point.

Please try manually logging out, then clearing both your browser cache and the cookies for this site. Then try to log in again with the box to keep you logged in checked.

We did. I'm very sorry for this. It was an oversight on my part, when bringing the board back up. I'm afraid there's not much I can do, hope nothing important was lost.
@bleachededen - I just had to reset the cookies again to correct another problem, so you might have to logout, clear cookies, login again before it'll stay working for you. Apologies for that too, this is probably the most common problem when updating forums. The old cookie doesn't get wiped from your browser when you visit the site, and of course the script is looking for the new one. The problem should not persist as long as you clear your cookies for this site manually.

Well it seems that booktalk has totally lost its good looks. Is that just a phase its going through? I'm assuming others are getting this chaotic view when they log in? Plus, Robert Tulip or Penelope has been fooling with the spelling--we now have "font colour."

Hi DWill, I've no idea what you could be seeing, but the first step would be to clear your browser cache. If you're still having problems, I'll need you to post a screenshot to show us what's going on. It'd also help if you could fill out the support template I posted in the bug forum.

If you go to the Forums tab and select "View Active Posts" you don't get a list of recent active posts, but a list of other older random posts. Or is it just me?

Did this work better before the update, or is this just a general observation? I think that the Active Topics feature isn't fully configured, and needs to be turned on for more forums for that list to work properly. I'll look into it.

No, it worked fine before the update. It's a feature I use often to find recent threads. It's definitely not working now.

Thanks geo, you're right about this, and I should have it corrected within the day. It's actually a result of a bugfix in the update. I was right that most of the forums don't have active topics turned on, but it wasn't until this latest update that the forum started obeying the permissions regarding that.
