In 1969 we went to Jodrell Bank (Cheshire, England)....to listen to the Moon Landings......

Sir Bernard Lovell came rushing down the steps whilst we were there, listening to Neil Armstrong.....he said....'The Russians have Landed'
....but we never heard anymore about that.....

How am I supposed to know what was happening in the Literary Arena at the same time?

I think I must have missed this one, Ralph.....

Up to now...I've got.....Woman.....born in Italy.....went to London....died in USA..... Confused

CLUE#3:

"Well, the good news is, he's returned from the war. The bad news? He's in a wheelchair! Permanently, they say. What's a healthy young woman to do?"

Oh Yes.....I think I know this one now. Is it Lady Chatterley's Lover?

You know, I don't think it is.....I think it is the one which was a film with Joanna Lumley playing the forebearing wife....and I can't remember the name........I will do some research and get back to you.

Of course it is Lady Chatterley - but you got your last year wrong.

It was 1959 not 1969. I was a Grammar School you see, in 1959 - and I remember all of us getting a newly released copy and reading out the rude bits to one another.

Your wrong year put me off.....so I would like a bonus point please!!!! Smile

Right again, Penny. "Lady Chatterley's Lover" by D. H. Lawrence (it was his last book).

But I think my dates are correct: first published in Florence in 1928, then in London in 1932, but not until 1969 in puritanical America. Right?

Ralph

Oh Right - America.....where is that?

Well, 'Lady Chatterley' was banned here as pornographic but then released in 1959....so I don't get my bonus point........just because of America......wait till I meet that Christopher Columbus bloke.....when I get to heaven......I will tell him how I was diddled out of my 'Literary Trivia' bonus point.....just because he insisted that the World was round and not flat......and went and discovered America!!!!!

Next question please!!!

Constance - you must NOT read 'Lady Chatterley' just before you get married........

No - I am only joking.....D H Laurence was a magnificent writer....you should try ' Sons and Lovers'.......semi autobiographical.....and so honest that it hurts!!!!!!

Wedding Photos!!!! Don't forget...... Smile

Constance.....No, No, no....none of that smutty stuff.....

Honeymoon indeed.....

I had one of those once...in 1964....in Perth...in Scotland...it was wonderous....and magical....and very sexy.....but I don't want to know about yours.

I would just like the Romantic....wedding photos....because we might outgrow the passion.....but, we never, never, never outgrow the Romance!

I'll tell you what.....You show me yours....and I'll show you mine!!!

Wedding Photos....I mean. Mine were in 1964.....Beatles...and all that Jazz, Smile
