Last night's chat session (August 9) was fun. Irishrosem, Mad Architect, lemmme think and I had an interesting time exchanging information and learning more about one another.

I would like to suggest we try to do these once a month. Thursday nights at 9 p.m. work well for me, but I would be open to other arrangements. Hopefully, next time we'll have more members participating. ::80

I was not aware there was a chat session. Chris, could you send out an email a few hours before each chat session to remind members?

Rivercoil, it was more of an informal chat among a couple members, and was never officially scheduled by Chris or any of the other moderators. (Hence the lack of email, I assume.)

It was fun though to get to talk about random things with some of the people here. I think we’re looking to do it again next month.

I’m wondering—of those that were there last Thursday, and those who may be interested in joining in September—if we should just set the chat night as the second Thursday of each month. So that would make the next chat night September 13th. Is that good for everyone? Niall, you’re five hours ahead of Eastern U.S. time, yes? Ouch, that’s tough. Could people possibly make it at 8PM to get Niall to bed an hour sooner, if he's interested in joining us?

The second Thursday would be fine for me. If an 8 p.m. start would be better for some of the members, it would work for me. However, that would make it earlier in the day for folks in the midwest and west, so it might interfere there. But, as I've said before, my schedule is probably more flexible than most, so I can most likely be there, whatever everyone else decides.

Thanks for considering me guys, but I'll try and make it either way. I know there's a five hour difference between EST and GMT, what is it for people in the Midwest and West of the states?

Well, since, as far as I know, we don't get anybody contributing from the West Coast, and Niall does want to participate, I'm suggesting we try the discussion for the 13th at 8PM. That'll get Niall to bed one hour sooner. Unless, of course, one of our contributors needs it to be later, because Niall has said he would try to make it either way. I'll be there Thursday, September 13th at 8PM, unless I hear otherwise.

In time I'll advertise these chats again. I'm not able to commit to anything right now due to some personal stuff that is dominating my life right now. Bare with me for a bit. I appreciate the work some of you are putting into trying to set up some regular chat sessions. Years ago we had live chats every Thursday and these were simply incredible. In time we'll have that back. But right now I have a few things to handle first.
