Kindle Prime - Author's Beware!
Amazon owns Audible. Audible pays audio book companies 8% for royalties because they have a monopoly on the download market for Audio Books.
I see this Kindle Prime heading in the same direction. Amazon doesn't guarantee the ratio of $ to Authors. Amazon expects a 90 exclusivity period. The original agreement for listing your book with the Kindle Lending library has recently changed. It used to say that once enrolled, authors only had 3 days to opt out, after that, it was in forever.
It also says they can change the terms and conditions at any time... if they change back to their original agreement and give you three days notice - what if you aren't at your computer that week.
It just smells fishy to me.
