Hello Everyone,
I'm a 52 year old female who just recently figured out it's never too late to follow your dreams. I had a love of books my whole life. I have always loved writing and now I finally put my words into print.
I live in the Florida Panhandle with my husband, three dogs and nine chickens...they have their own house...and no mortgage!! I love living in the country, but it makes for a long commute to work everyday. I drive an hour each way to work everyday. I have grown to love books on CD.
I work as a technical writer for a software development team. I am responsible for writing the user's manual and install guide. Not exciting to read, but I try.
Creative writing is where my heart lies. I have read so many books over the course of my lifetime I couldn't begin naming them all. I have to say my favorite now are the mysteries, thrillers. I love the thrill of not being able to put a book down. What thrills me more is when I come across characters that seem so real to me that when the book ends I want to know what they do next, where their lives take them, what troubles they get into next. I sometimes have a hard time closing the books that leave me feeling like I've lost a friend. I guess for that reason I really like series. Does that make me co-dependent?
I came to Book Talk in hopes of finding readers who might give me a chance to show them what I have to offer. In the process, I would love to find friends who have the same passion for book that I have.
