Happy 9th Birthday BookTalk.org!

BookTalk.org has just turned 9 years old as of May 5, 2011.

We've sure come a long way as a community. As of right now we have 4,848 members on our forums and 4,093 on our Facebook page. Most are only members of either the forums or the Facebook page, but not both. So in actuality our reach is closer to 8,000 members.

Our forums have never been more active with an average of 70 - 90 posts per day. And what marks us as unique is that our forum contributions are composed primarily of quality posts and not what you typically find on message board communities.

Thank you to everyone who has made BookTalk,org their online home all these years. You're the reason for our longevity and success and I truly appreciate you all.

Happy birthday, you've done a great job Chris.

That's kind of strange that there are all these members on Facebook who don't use the forum. I guess they can not bear to leave Facebook for any reason!

I'm not much for emoticons so just allow me to say Happy Birthday BookTalk and a great big thank you to Chris and Mrs. Chris too. I'm sure his schedule stresses her. In my mind I'm giving both of you and BookTalk a high five.
