Please read BEFORE posting in the "Introduce Yourself" forum
This forum is a friendly place for new members to say hello to the BookTalk.org community. We love meeting new members and hope you take a few minutes to tell us a bit about yourself.
Are you male or female?
Where are you from?
What are your hobbies or special interests?
What sort of books do you enjoy reading?
How did you find BookTalk.org?
1. Do NOT make an introduction post if you have no intention of interacting with us If you introduce yourself you'll be greeted by BookTalk.org members. We get excited when new people join and we take our time to give them a warm welcome. But if you don't plan to respond don't introduce yourself in the first place.
2. Create your own introduction thread It is rude to make your introduction in someone else's introduction thread.
3. Use a descriptive subject line for your introduction thread A subject line shouldn't simply be "Hi" or "My Intro." Try something unique. It is always good to use your username in your intro thread title.
4. If you're an author or publisher do NOT tell us about your books in this forum We have forums specifically for suggesting books, and this is not one of them. If you spam this forum your account will either be deleted or banned.
Authors & Publishers that would like to share their books with BookTalk.org members and visitors have several options available. For maximum visibility consider advertising on BookTalk.org.
If you're brand new to forums you might want to read our FAQ page.

Hi Eva. Welcome to Booktalk. I'm a Florida boy, but I did spend a couple of years living right across the lake from you, in Menomonee Falls, WI, where I learned what people were talking about when they used the word "seasons." Down here in Central Florida, we only have two: summer and tourist season (we used to have something called "winter," but that has apparently been canceled due to global warming). I recently purchased a Kindle and am really enjoying the convenience of it. Anyway, if you look around, I'm sure you will find many interesting discussion topics, and you can always start your own as well. Let us hear from you!

Welcome to booktalk Eva! I'm just like you, I carry my Kindle with me wherever I go! I don't think I could live without it (I'm not going to test that theory though! ). Enjoy booktalk

Glad you joined us. My grandparents were from Big Rapids, MI they have since passed away years ago, so it has been 35 years since I have been to MI. Used to love to go see them. I love to read also, I like all types of books but mostly current popular fiction. Which mystery writers do you like. I like Mary Higgins Clark for dependable mystery. A fan since she began writting.
