Gray Mountain; and The Demon-Haunted World

Unread post

Just downloaded Gray Mountain from our regional digital library (to my Kindle). Hooray for adjustable fonts. :clap2: I am going to try to read Demon-Haunted World, but may have a problem. I just had cataract surgery (both eyes), and my eyes are still adjusting. :? The copy I have (borrowed from my local library) is hard-copy; the digital library does not have it, and the book has fairly small print.. So....wish me luck. :|

I just finished Gray Mountain by John Grisham - loved it, learned a lot about the modern coal mining industry, etc.....
I tried to DL a book from the library and it didn't work. If they start assessing late fees, I'm in big trouble. :hmm:

Thank you Penelope for your kind thoughts. We do have 'talking books' service; locally is through our state government. If this surgery does not improve my vision I will look into them. Our local library does have a fairly good audio book section, but it is mostly thrillers, romance, and 'best sellers.' Though I have recently 'read' biographies of Benjamin Franklin, Theodore Roosevelt and Albert Einstein via this medium, and am currently into one on Thomas Jefferson.

Landroid, if your digital library is like mine, they don't fine you, just 'terminate' the loan, and the next time you go online with your reader, they will delete it. I had a similar problem recently; since the book never downloaded, when the loan expired, nothing happened.
