I read ebooks on a Palm TX when I travel, but I admit that I still enjoy holding paper when I read. There's something about the feel of a cover and the smell of ink that can't be replaced.
Ironically, I've recently chosen to forego submitting my manuscript via the traditional method and self-publish as an e-book only. No agent hunting, no waiting months for form letters, just... readers. I'm closing in on a thousand downloads, and next to no profit, and yet I feel like I've somehow defeated the system. Perhaps, I'm delusional, but in case anyone wants to sample what publishing may be heading towards in the future (and can tolerate an unconventional, genre-crossing urban fantasy), you can find my novel at:
